I agreed to do an interview with the good folks over at The Atheist Spot back at the start of August and it’s just been posted today:
This week we interview Les Jenkins of the the blog Stupid Evil Bastard. Once you get past the initial shock when first visiting the site and wondering what you did to upset him…you’ll find Les always brings an interesting perspective to the everything he covers, with topics ranging from the market meltdown to Spore DRM issues. My personal favorite part of the blog is that every blog posting has a picture of Les starting right back at you. It’s as if he’s right there reading you his thoughts!
Considering the previous interviews already posted with much better atheist bloggers mine is a bit anticlimactic, but it was still very cool to be asked and quite the honor to be included among some of the bigger names.
LOL LH.
I first found this site from George (DOF). We had many conversations about religion and truthfully speaking if it wasn’t for this site, DOF’s, and PZ’s I wouldn’t have “called” myself an atheist. I was afraid and to know there were others out there like my helped.
Thanks Les and that was a great interview!
Congrats Les.
Since we are on the topic, I first found this site back when I was headhunting on the internet for religious nutters. When I first came, there was crazies amok and I thought I hit a good battleground. Now I stick around cause of Les’s content and the community. Not as many nutters before, and good riddance to that. You can only cite against ignorance for so long. On a separate note, some days I wish they would out cite us for a change (besides bloody SCRIPTURE), since we always have to drag out the proof exhaustively.
The nutters tend to come and go in cycles. Every now and then someone will link to us on a religious site and they’ll come in droves for awhile until they get bored and go off in search of less hostile grounds.
The nutters do indeed come and go and a few even give repeat performances. I do have the impression though that there were more of them while SEB still ran on Movable Type, particularly in the long-defunct forums.
Indeed. There was that Krishna guy, then Buddha and Moses, Jesus, Mohammad, and L. Ron Hubbard. I’m still waiting for Emmanuel, though…
Good interview. Spot on about DOF.
Ah so have I since when I first saw it on late night telly at the age of 14. Apparently every other woman wants to be treated as an equal, and doesn’t drop ‘em at every oppotunity.
Course it could be I’m just an ugly bugger.
