Jesus Christ is back! Again!

Yes it’s yet another person claiming to be the second incarnation of Jesus Christ. This time he appears to us in the form of a 60-year-old Puerto Rican man who is a former heroin addict and convict by the name of Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda who is referred to by his followers as “Jesus Christ Man.” He comes with a message of “anything goes” that is apparently quite appealing to the folks who believe he is who he says he is: – The Man Who Claims To Be Jesus

What De Jesus is doing at more than 300 centers in Central and South America, Cuba and the U.S. is preaching a message of “freedom to indulge” because according to this modern messiah, there is no sin, no devil and no hell to pay.

De Jesus says, “It doesn’t exist. The devil was destroyed two thousand years ago.”

It is music to the ears of his followers, mostly Hispanic men and women who believe they are God’s chosen people, predestined for salvation no matter what they do on earth. They also believe all other faiths are false and must be destroyed, from Catholics to Baptists and Jehovah’s witnesses.

His followers have organized marches at which they destroy religious books and symbols. They also have a campaign aimed at disrupting other religious gatherings, sometimes with violent consequences.

What we’ve got here is another cult on the rise that’ll probably end up badly in the long run. There’s already stories of families destroyed by people joining the cult or leaving the cult or a combination of the two and there’s no shortage of critics. None of which bothers de Jesus in the least:

Unfazed by the criticism, de Jesus continues to plan for the role he believes he is destined to play on the world’s stage. “I will be president of the biggest government that this earth has experienced,” promised de Jesus.

Right. I won’t be holding my breath waiting for that to come to pass.

  1. Ahahahahahahaha…
This is so funny; I could play a better Jesus. All the contradictions, all the stupidity. Though at least he used the smarts to say there is no hell and no punishment, that’s exactly what christens want to hear. This still sickens me though…
    W00t, I posted first.

  2. Hello Les and all,

How can someone who never existed ever reincarnate? Ever heard of the Doctrine of Two Spirits? What does this say about religion and those who seek to profit from the ignorance of others by pretending to serve the Creator?

Yes, this universe incorporates Karma and there are certainly going to be tangible consequences.

It’s been my experience that that particular cliche is very popular with people who are trying to convince others of their own personal fictions.
