The folks at Gamespot have an interesting article called The Final Hours of Prince of Persia that details the development of the highly anticipated game. The article is huge, some 12 pages or so, but a very interesting read on how this latest installment came to be. Particularly interesting is how Jordan Mechner, the man who developed the original Prince of Persia pretty much single-handedly on his Apple II back in 1988, got involved and ended up contributing the storyline to the new outing.
I’m really hoping this one ends up under my Christmas tree this year as I loved the original game. Reading up on how it was developed has only raised my anticipation.
Update: The folks at IGN.com gave it a 9.6 rating.
