So we’re into November now and I’m a little over a month away from my second blogaversary. Thanksgiving is coming up, but that’s not a holiday I tend to get real excited over beyond being the start of the Christmas season in my family and the official demarcation point as the earliest date that I am allowed to setup my Christmas tree. So, what shall we do to keep busy?
Well this looks interesting: 26 Things : The Photographic Scavenger Hunt.
Found that over at forty.something and it seems simple enough and has a long enough running period that I might try to participate. The idea is this: They post 26 words and you go out and take pictures of what those words mean or represent to you. You’ve got all of November to do it in.
Sounds like fun even if I am the world’s crappiest photographer armed with the world’s cheapest digital camera. So I’m thinking I’m going to do this. This is one I could see Eric having fun with. I’ll have to tell him about it.
I think I’ll be doing the 26 Things scavenger hunt, too. Thanks for the link!
I did the first one and It was a blast, the tough part, not to mention fun, is trying to come up with something that everyone else has done. I am looking forward to doing this one that I have already have my list printed out and ready to go.
I am actually contemplating doing it with a twist, due to the fact I just love taking pictures and this scavenger hunt pumps me up.
Here is my entry for the last one.If you cared to look or not lol.
The 26 Things is a lot of fun. The best part for me was seeing how everyone interpreted the things differently.
26 Things is great fun, thanks for pointing out that number 2 has begun.
Check out my archive of the last 26 Things.
Oh man, I wish I had my digital camera. I have yet to find a decent one for under $200. I’d love to do something like this.
Keep an eye on More Stuff 4 Less Bargain Blog for deals. They have a listing for a HP PhotoSmart 435 3.3 MegaPixel Digital Camera + Free 32MB SD Card $119.98 Shipped from Office Max up there today. Dunno if it’s a great camera, but it is sub-$200.
This looks like a load of fun. I have played with a few other photo related memes, and I generally include a lot of imagery on my blog, so this sounds like it could be some serious fun.
Thanks for putting this up. Idoubt I’d have found it otherwise.

Les,
Thanks for the heads up on this, I have been in a creative funk lately, and this should help me get them juices flowing again…

Wow, this one seems to have really interested a lot of people. I think this it the most I’ve been thanked for highlighting a link in awhile. I’m glad to help bring more attention to it and I look forward to seeing what you guys do with it.
